Friday (November 6th), Sound & Vibe Recording Studio presents their first ever monthly cultural dinner experience called “The Mix”. The first one is called “The Filipino Mix” with guest DJ: Icy Ice & guest chef: Ryan Basa. S/O to the homie Omer Saar.

“With attendance limited to 30, The Mix is a themed and composed stimulation of the senses with carefully selected special guest chefs, performers, food, drinks, music, art, dance and interaction.

Appetizers

Torta Wontons – Stir fried ground beef, potatoes and scrambled eggs seasoned and stuffed into a wonton wrapper, deep fried and served with a spicy banana flavored ketchup

Lumpia Veggie Eggrolls – Stir fried cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts and green onions, lightly seasoned, rolled into a wonton wrapper, deep fried and served with a spicy garlic vinegar dip

Grilled Pork BBQ Skewers – Tender pork marinated in spices, grilled and smoothered in a sweet soy glaze

Main Entrees

Veggie Ginataang Calabash Tacos – Slow cooked Filipino squash in coconut base and spices, topped with shredded cabbage and drizzled with Sriracha cream sauce in a warm tortilla

Adobo Chicken Tacos – Slow cooked dark meat pieces in a soy-vinegar base with spices, topped with chopped cilantro and onions with a homemade salsa verde on a warm tortilla

Pork Longanisa Tacos – A sweet and mildly spicy pork sausage pan fried and topped with cilantro and onions, drizzled with a Sriracha cream sauce, in a warm tortilla

Garlic Fried Rice – Stir fried white rice lightly seasoned with garlic

Brussel Sprout Salad – Roasted brussel sprouts stir fried with carrots and cabbage, drizzled with Ponzu sauce
